GMX, Fastmail, Zoho, KPN, Ziggo and your own domain

Enter your address under Connect account (profile, Email tab). We recognise most providers and fill in the servers ourselves. Some providers need you to turn something on first.

GMX

  1. Sign in to GMX, go to Settings, POP3 & IMAP and turn on access (GMX help). It is off for new accounts, and GMX turns it off again if you do not use it for a long time.
  2. Connect with your GMX password, or with an app password if you use two-step verification.

Fastmail

Fastmail only works with an app password: go to Settings, Privacy & Security and under Connected apps & API tokens create a new app password with access to email (Fastmail help). This is not possible on the Basic plan.

Zoho Mail

  1. Turn on IMAP in Zoho Mail: Settings, Mail Accounts, IMAP access (Zoho help).
  2. Do you use two-factor authentication? Then create an app password (open your Zoho account). Otherwise connect with your Zoho password.

KPN, XS4ALL and Ziggo

Use the password of the email address itself, not your MijnKPN or Mijn Ziggo password. Lost it? Set a new one there (KPN help, Ziggo help).

Your own domain with a hosting company

With TransIP, STRATO, one.com, Antagonist and most other hosts you use the password of the mailbox. You set it in your host's customer panel, for the email address. If we don't recognise your host, fill in the servers your host gives you under Server settings.

Receiving: port 993 with SSL/TLS. Sending: port 587 with STARTTLS (turn SSL/TLS off). Port 465 does not work from our server.

Proton Mail

Proton Mail only works through Proton Mail Bridge on your own computer. We cannot use that, so connecting Proton Mail is not possible.
