An address at Outlook.com, Hotmail or Live, or business email at Microsoft 365, cannot be connected right now.
Why not?
Microsoft only lets other apps sign in through its own sign-in screen, where you give permission. Microsoft no longer accepts a password or app password for this: for Outlook.com since September 2024, for Microsoft 365 for longer. We currently only connect with an app password, so Microsoft is not possible for now.
Do you also use Gmail, iCloud or Yahoo next to your Microsoft address? Those you can connect.
