You can connect your own calendar, such as Google Calendar, Outlook.com or iCloud. Your appointments then appear in the calendar, next to your own calendars and tasks. You can also create, drag, change and delete them here: what you do here also changes at your calendar service, and the other way round.
Only you can see your connected calendars. An administrator or colleague cannot see them either.
How to connect a calendar
- Open your profile and choose the Calendars tab, or click the plus at Connected calendars in the calendar.
- Click Connect a calendar and enter your email address. We recognise your service and show what to do.
- Then choose which calendars you want to see. Your main calendar is already on.
Which services?
| Service | How to connect | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Google Calendar | Sign in with Google | Connecting Google Calendar |
| Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live | Sign in with Microsoft | Connecting Outlook.com |
| iCloud | App-specific password | Connecting iCloud |
| Yahoo, Fastmail, other CalDAV calendars | App password or password | Other services |
Good to know
- A message never simply goes out to attendees. If you change an appointment with others, we first ask whether they get a message.
- At an appointment where you are a guest, you can only give your answer. Holidays and calendars someone shared with you as read-only can only be viewed.
- If you and the service changed the same field at the same time, the service's version stays and you get a notification.
- If you disconnect, the appointments disappear here. Nothing changes at your calendar service.
- Reminders from your own calendar app keep working. Here they are off by default, otherwise you get everything twice.
