Board layout: columns, rows and limits

On a board of your own, choose Edit layout. What you change shows on the board straight away and is saved by itself. You can drag the panel wider.

Columns

  • Give each column a name and a status. The status says whether a card is still open, in progress or done.
  • Move columns with the handle or the arrows. Column inside makes a group of columns, up to three levels deep.
  • Collapsed: the column takes up little space, useful for Done and Cancelled.
  • WIP limit: how many cards the column may hold at most. If you go over, the board asks whether you want to move it anyway.

Rows

Rows by also divides the board into rows: Own swimlanes (name them yourself, with colour, rush and limit), Assignee or Urgency. On a project board with phases you can also choose per phase.

The card

  • Choose what appears on a card: assignee, date, urgency, checklist, files, labels and on a project board also project, phase and hours.
  • Colour stripe by puts a stripe by urgency or by the swimlane colour. A card's own colour shows as a stripe or as the whole card.
  • Finished cards disappear after a number of days (14 by default). The task remains.

Copying

Copy the layout of another board takes over columns, rows and card settings. Your cards stay.
